How This Is Structured
Calling it "risk management" doesn't accomplish that — the structural design does.
Insurance brokers, compliance officers, CPAs giving tax-risk advice, public adjusters, business consultants — all provide risk advice for a fee without being attorneys. The Supreme Court has long distinguished between giving people information about how courts and laws work (protected speech) and giving tailored legal advice (the practice of law). Holder v. Humanitarian Law Project, 561 U.S. 1 (2010).
I can tell you what I went through in my four federal cases — every motion, every ruling, every mistake. Telling my own story isn't legal advice; it's testimony about lived experience. N.Y. County Lawyers' Ass'n v. Dacey, 21 N.Y.2d 694 (1967).
